FRANK B. REEB DIED SUDDENLY
  
Frank B. Reeb, 75, died Monday August 11, of a heart attack. He had been in poor health for several years. His condition became worse in May and since then he has been confined to his room and bed most of the time. He has been a patient at the Paulding Memorial hospital for the past two months where his condition improved to such an extent that he was able to ride out and visit his friends.
   He was born on the farm 4 miles northwest of Antwerp which was operated under the name of Reeb Bros., and spent his entire life there. He and his brother Henry who passed away in 1938 were widely known as breeders of Poland China hogs.
   Fair and honorable in his dealings and his upright character and life commanded the respect of all who knew him. He had never married.
   Also he was the last of his father's family. His elder brother Henry passed on in 1938, his sister Mary followed in October 1940.
   Funeral services will be conducted from the residence Friday, August 15th at 2 p.m., Rev. N. H. Bradley of the Methodist church officiating. Burial in the family lot in Maumee cemetery.
Mrs. Beatrice Doering Anderson (g-daughter of David Reeb,  see below) 13 Nov 1884-Jul 4, 1902
   Mrs. Beatrice Doering Anderson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. D.S. Anderson, passed away Saturday July 4th after a lingering illness of consumption at the country home of her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. David Reeb.
   Deceased was born November 13, 1884, and was at the time of her demise eighteen years, seven months and sixteen days. She was a popular girl and made hosts of friends who greatly regretted her suffering and early taking away. Her disposition was lovable and in the hearts and home where she was known no well her place can never be filled. Mother, father and sister survive her. Funeral services were held from the M.E. Church, Monday, July 6th, officiated by Rev. Wilson. Interment in Riverside Cemetery.
David Reeb, 27 Mar, 1838-08 Jan, 1914
David Reeb was born near Casseatle [sic], Germany, Mary 27, 1838, and departed this life January 8, 1914, aged 75 years, 9 months and 11 days. He came to this country with his parents at the age of six years settling on the farm where Isaac Woodcox now lives. Uncle Dave, as he was often called, was among the many who helped to make this country what it is today. He was united in marriage to  Miss Clarinda Perry on October 30, 1859. To this union were born six children, as follows: Frank, Henry, and Edward of Antwerp, O., Mrs. Abe Mathias of Payne, Ohio and Bert of Grass Lake, Michigan. Blanch having preceded him to the better world. He enlisted in the service of his country leaving his wife and two children, to battle with the world. When he returned from the war he settled on the farm where he lived until death called him to his reward. He joined the M.E. Church January 17, 1861, and was a kind husband, loving father and a good neighbor. He leaves to mourn a loving wife, five children, eighteen grandchildren, four great grand-children and one sister, Mrs. Thomas Murphy.

  The Aged Michael Reeb Passes Away in Darrtown. Michael Reeb ,aged 83,-father of Ben Reeb, the Krebs pitcher, died at his home in Darrtown this afternoon. Mr. Reeb was born in France and was a tailor in early life

Benno E. Reeb, Former Pitcher,  Succumbs At 87
   Benno E. Reeb,87,formerly of 1335 Maple Ave. died Wednesday morning in the Fairfield Nursing Home, where he had been a patient for the past two years.
    Mr. Reeb was a prominent professional baseball pitcher at the time of the turn of the century. He played with many local teams, including the old Krebs Nine, Milders, the Anchors and the Mosler Safe Co.. Professionally he played with Vicksburg, Miss and Houston, Texas. He had pitched  against the Chicago Cubs and was particularly proud of his many friends in the major league
       Born in Darrtown Dec. 24,1878, he was the only son of Michael and Matilda Sweet (Suese or Suess) Reeb. He spent his early youth in Darrtown and attended the public schools of that area. 
   Oct. 28,1903,he was united in marriage with Elizabeth Hedges in Darrtown and to this union three sons and three daughters were born. Mr. And Mrs. Reeb were a very devoted couple and enjoyed more than 60 years of happy married life until her death October,1964.
  A lock setter by trade, Mr. Reeb was a valued employee of Mosler for more than 50 years. An expert in his field , Mr. Reeb took great pride in his work. He traveled extensively for Mosler during his many years with the company. An ardent naturalist, he spent many hours in his garden.
   Mr. Reeb had been a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles since 1911. . .

Betty Reeb Junkin
   Betty Junkin, age 95, formerly of Arlington Avenue, Hamilton, Ohio died Wednesday, September 13, 2000 at 6:30 a.m. in Tri County Extended Care Center, Fairfield, Oh. She was born on August 2, 1905 in Darrtown, OH, the daughter of Benno and Elizabeth Hedges Reeb, being educated in the Hamilton public schools and attended Hamilton Business college. Oh June 1, 1937, in the first Baptist Church, she married Harry L. Junkin and he preceded her in death on May 4, 1980. She was employed as a draftswoman at Herring Hall Marvin Safe Company and at Freckling Dairy. She was a long time member of the Lindenwald United Methodist church and the Lindenwald Community Club. . .

Edward Reeb
   Edward Louis Reeb, age 82 of 1091 Brough Ave., Hamilton, passed away Tuesday, August 21, 1990 at his residence. He was born on July 14, 1908 in Hamilton, OH, the son of Benno and Elizabeth (Hedges) Reeb, being educated in the Hamilton Public Schools. He was employed at French-Bauer Dairy as a salesman for 33 years, retiring in 1968. On June 20, 1936, in St. Ann Church he married Esther O'Brien. . .

Robert Nathaniel Reeb
   Robert N. Reeb, of 4513 Northern Road, Somerville, passed away Sept 7, 1987 at Fort Hamilton Hospital after a lengthy illness. He was born to Benno and Elizabeth (Hedges) Reeb in Hamilton on Feb. 28, 1914. He graduated from Hamilton High School in 1933. He married Adie Hamblin on July 27, 1940. Mr. Reeb retired from Champion after forty-five years. He was an avid golfer and bowler. He was a member of the Fairfield Optimist, the Moose Lodge, the Eagles and a long time coach in Hamilton/Fairfield Little League baseball . . .

Ruth Reeb Schuger
   Ruth Kathryn Reeb Schuger, age 86, of Fairfield, OH, died Friday, March 29, 1997 at 1:30 p.m. in Tri-County Extended Care Center. She was born on Dec. 30, 1910 in Hamilton, OH, the daughter of Benno and Elizabeth Hedges Reeb, being educated in the Hamilton Public Schools. On June 24, 1944 in Hamilton, OH, she married Ray Schurger and he preceded her in death in 1977 . . .
